  • Our Lifetime Warranty does not cover prescription lenses.  We strongly suggest that you NOT send us your prescription lenses as Native is not responsible for returning to you your prescription lenses if received in connection with this warranty.

6.) My sunglasses were lost or stolen.  Is this covered under your warranty

Lenses

1.) Do all Native lenses block UV rays?

  • Yes. They block 100% UV A&B rays - this includes the SportFlex™, Yellow, Orange and Clear lenses.

2.) Do you sell prescription lenses?

  • Not at this time.  Once you purchase a pair of Native sunglasses at an Authorized Dealer, you can have your local optometrist put prescription lenses in them for you.  Currently, the Ripp and Ripp RS are Rx compatible.  We do not recommend putting a prescription higher than a +/–3 in your frame.

3.) Are the Sportflex™, clear, yellow, and orange lenses polarized?

  • These lenses are not polarized as they are designed to be used in low light conditions (such as rain, fog, dusk, dawn, etc.), thus no need for them to be polarized.

4.) What conditions are the Sportflex™, clear, yellow, and orange lenses used in?

  • The Sportflex™ lenses have 60% Visual Light Transmittance (VLT) and the orange lenses have 57% Visual Light Transmittance (VLT) and are recommended for moderate to low light.  The yellow lenses have 80% VLT for low light and the clear lenses have 98% VLT for very low light to nighttime usage.

5.) Do Native sunglasses pass the ANSI Z80.3 test?

  • Yes.

6.) How do I interchange my lenses?

7.) Can I choose a different lens color than what comes with the sunglasses?

  • All of our sunglasses come as they are shown.  All styles have interchangeable lenses and we offer a variety of lens colors available for purchase as separate lens kits. Click here to view a list of online lens kit dealers.
Care

1) How can I further protect my Native sunglasses?

  • We recommend that you keep your Natives protected in their case when not in use. Do not place the lenses face down on any surface or leave them loose in a pocket or purse where objects may damage the lenses. Also, do not leave your sunglasses in intense heat (i.e. a car’s dashboard) or anywhere with extreme hot or cold temperatures.

2.) How should I clean my frame/lenses?

  • First, blow off any particles that may be on the lenses.  Second, use the cleaning cloth or softcase that came with your sunglasses to clean your lenses.  You may use mild liquid soap diluted with warm water.  We recommend using a soft, lint-free cloth for drying.  If your cleaning cloth or softcase gets dirty, it is okay to hand wash and hang it to dry.
